In the class the following skills will be covered -

  • Filing
  • Soldering
  • Forging
  • Buffing
  • Polishing
  • Drilling
 
We recommend this class for those who have completed our ring and bangle workshop or those with jewellery making experience, particularly with soldering.
 

This workshop begins at 10am, please arrive a few minutes early and our teacher will be here to greet you. They will give you an overview of health & safety, as well as talking you through the process of making your initial ring or initial necklace.

The Initial Ring includes either a 2mm round band and a hand stamped silver disc to stamp your initial OR a 2.5mm round band ring, with a hand forged section to apply your stamp. 

The Initial Silver Necklace includes either options to meltdown silver grain to forge a disc pendant OR Silver Wire to create a large outline initial. All pendants include an 18in Silver Trace Chain to hang your new creation on!

We have refreshments - hot & cold drinks, and biscuits, so please let us know when booking if you have any special requirements.

Everyone is usually finished by around lunchtime, and you'll have your completed piece ready to take away with you - Ready to wear or be gifted to a loved one!
 

We can accommodate up to 7 participants per workshop, each having their own bench space. We'll provide you with an apron, and all the tools you'll need for the day, as well as the silver to make your jewellery.  

Please wear close toed shoes, and clothes you don't mind getting a bit dirty. If you have long hair please bring something to tie it back with.
